You’ve just ordered your Vape Joint products, and you’re absurdly excited about it. We get it, but we also get a lot of questions about shipping, all of which will hopefully be answered below.
The Vape Joint’s shipping policy is that if your order is over $75, shipping is free, except if you need express postage. Express postage is $4 extra - but you can refer to our chart below to work out what’s best for you. This is Australia wide for E-cigarette related products (barring South Australia - refer to our FAQs), although I’m afraid we don’t ship overseas...yet.
South Australia shipping:
The Vape Joint does provide shipping to South Australia but only for dry herb vaporizers and accessories. We do not ship anything E-cigarette related and you will not be able to proceed ahead with the ahead on checkout if any such product is in your cart. Once you remove those products, you will then be able to process your order.
Please also note the following:
- Any orders containing lithium batteries (Does not include internal battery devices) can NOT be sent by express post. Refer to “Batteries via Express Post” below for more information.
- Any orders that exceed 5kg in weight upon packing may result in higher shipping charges. In the event that this would happen we will contact you directly regarding the new shipping cost. If you are not happy with this cost and would not like to proceed ahead with the order, we will provide you with a full refund.

For peace of mind you can select the signature on delivery option. If you do not select this option and your parcel is lost or stolen then you will need to follow up with Australia post yourself and we will not be liable for the lost and/or stolen parcel.
Batteries via Express Post
Due to aviation safety regulations, some quantities and types of rechargeable lithium ion batteries cannot be sent via any shipping method that involves aircraft.
If your order contains lithium batteries (Does not include internal battery devices) please only select the standard shipping options available at checkout. If by accident you do select express shipping and your order contains batteries, then we'll change the shipping method for you when we pack your order and we'll refund the price difference if appropriate.
Tracking your delivery
Like every other aspect of life, Covid has disrupted shipping times, so there may be delivery delays with Australia Post and the significant increase in mail volume they are dealing with.
Once you’ve finalised your order in your shopping cart, input your delivery address and our shipping calculator will let you know exactly how much your shipping will cost in Australian dollars.
Depending on the time of order, your order will be packaged and shipped on the day of your order or the next business day. If you order over the weekend, your order will be shipped the following Monday.
We do deliver to PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers, so they’re totally viable shipping addresses to use as well.
The Vape Joint has a supremely reliable delivery service that delivers in a timely fashion throughout Australia. The only exception to this is where legislative requirements around certain products exclude them being shipped to select locations (South Australia, in particular). Exact time frames depend on the delivery address, but you can track your delivery via a tracking number that will be generated and sent to you. This tracking number is an automatic update sent to your email address and you do not need to contact us about it (as much as we love chatting with you).
It’s worth noting our couriers don’t operate on weekends or public holidays, and there may be slight delivery delays around key holidays like Christmas and Easter.
Receiving your delivery
Unless you have paid extra for signature on delivery, Post Office staff have discretion on the safest manner of ensuring you get your delivery. If there is a safe and secure spot available for your delivery it will be left there, and if not your package will be returned to the post office for re-collection. If we’re unable to deliver to that address or you cannot be contacted, the delivery may be returned to us, where we’ll immediately contact you to arrange a subsequent delivery or a refund, less the cost of the original delivery. Even if it takes teams of people with megaphones to find you, we’ll do whatever we can to deliver your goods safely!!
It’s important to note that the shipping weight must be under 5kg for these terms to apply. If your package is significantly bulky or greater than 5kg, it will be shipped via courier and may be subject to different delivery timeframes and with possible additional charges.
