1. Place the digital scale on a flat and stable surface.
2. Press the power button to turn on the scale.
3. Wait for the scale to display "0.00" or "CAL". If it shows an error message, make sure the scale is not overloaded or unevenly balanced.
4. If using a container, place it on the scale and press the tare button to deduct its weight.
